What about weather extremes?
Although the we try to operate the market every Wednesday, there are some weeks where this may not be possible due to extreme weather. Please see below for our high wind and heat policies.
High Wind Policy: When the wind is predicted to be 30km per hour or above, the number of stalls may be limited due to potential risk. Certain stalls will opt to attend (such as fruit & veg) so you can still come to Main Street to pick up your fresh produce for the week.
In the event of a SEVERE weather warning (as issued by the BOM), the market will be cancelled.
Heat Policy: As we have experienced some extreme heat in previous summers, we have decided to implement a heat policy:
37+ degrees – the market may have limited stalls due to the heat and vendors may opt to finish earlier than usual.
